We all hate the duck face but this video (originally released in early summer) really sums it up with an original song that you can actually buy on iTunes now. 267 people dislike the video meaning that 1% of you still think it’s a good idea to make a duck face while taking your picture. Since it is the weekend, news is slow allowing me to rant off on various subjects. It turns out that the mayor of San Francisco is going to veto the fast-food toy ban on Happy Meals. It would be one thing if it was about the crappy plastic toys, but it’s not. This is the left coast, after all. If you had not heard, fast-food restaurants would not be allowed to sell toys here unless they meet strict nutritional standards.

Now I am all about people eating better and exercising more, I just don’t agree that it needs to be treated this way. I can walk you into any grocery store and show you that the majority of items on the shelves are manmade, cheap and bad for you. Following the above logic, they can go after countless companies from manufacturers to the distributors to the final selling place.

What is the answer? IMHO, everything needs to be labeled if it is edible. It already is working where it is in effect. I always read labels and see countless others doing the same, but there is more work to be done. For example, many items you purchase are a single serving, but the product is allowed to say that it is 2-8 servings. I work hard every day to balance excercise and diet and it's no picnic when you are self employed. Here is hoping for some positive dialogue from this, but most likely everyone will fight and go on business as usual.

Oh yeah, screw you 100 calorie packs. I’m hungry.

Amy-Erin Blakely Claims She Was Fired After Being Told Her Breasts Were Distracting [Off Topic]

Florida resident Amy-Erin Blakely is suing her former employer, the Devereux Foundation, for allegedly firing her in 2009 after she filed two complaints about gender discrimination. Blakely claims that the comments about the size of her breasts started in 2003, but worsened in 2008. She was told that her chest was distracting for others and that she was too sensual to be promoted.

Don't we need to see the chest to decide for ourselves? Show me the evidence damn it!

Poll Finds Majority Of Male Voters Would Have Elected Naked Woman [Off Topic]

A CNN/Gallup Poll released Monday revealed that a vast majority of registered male voters would have strongly supported a naked woman in the 2010 midterm elections.

The online survey found that regardless of political philosophy or party affiliation, 85 percent of American men in every ethnic, age, and socioeconomic group consistently chose a completely nude woman over a Democratic, Republican, or independent candidate.

I apologize; I just clicked the story when I saw a naked blonde, so I guess I would have voted for a naked woman too. I really didn’t even bother to read the whole story. We blocked it out for you here, but it's not blocked at the source link. NSFW.

This guy saved a 980 pound crocodile that had been shot in the eye and took care of it until it was healthy again. When he went to release the croc, it followed him back home. They have been pals for 20 years now but rarely does a situation like this end well. It certainly is unique. Check out the video for yourself:

A man who police said shot at U.S. marshals while they tried to arrest him pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felon in possession of a firearm Friday.

Adam Berndt appeared before a Multnomah County judge a day after he was released from a local hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound, prosecutors said.

Sure, it’s off topic, but how the hell could we not post this mugshot?
