As Corvette is the title sponsor of Sunday Afternoon’s ABC Sport’s broadcast of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, it only makes sense to educate viewers how closely related the production cars are to the ALMS GT racers. To do so, GM showcases the Corvette ZR1 while spokesman Tim Allen tells viewers that when they decided to take 638-horsepower Corvette racing, they had to dial back the power just to be fair to Porsche, Ferrari and BMW. We showed you some preview images of the next Colorado and here is the official launch video. Hopefully they change this some more, it looks great from the front but as you work your way to the rear it really looks like…. Ass. I owned one of these when they came out so I know what I am talking about. The I5 was underpowered and the build quality was terrible. This still needs work from the outside and that’s assuming they fixed the engine and quality. I am rooting for them. Edmunds once again does a great little video comparing 2 cars that should never really be compared. At the end of the day we all know the General Lee is still much cooler than the recently redesigned Charger but it’s still fun to see how 40 years later the differences are actually pretty minor in the performance area. Family Station Wagon vs Supercar: 1/4 mile showdown between the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo vs the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon equipped with the 650 HP Hennessey V650 engine upgrade. No mention of the age or mods to the Porsche, but we know the Cadillac is heavily modified and running drag radials. An obviously biased race to the point of feeling embarrased watching it.
