Hennessey Cadillac CTS-V Wagon vs Porsche 911 Twin Turbo [Video]

Family Station Wagon vs Supercar: 1/4 mile showdown between the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo vs the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon equipped with the 650 HP Hennessey V650 engine upgrade. No mention of the age or mods to the Porsche, but we know the Cadillac is heavily modified and running drag radials. An obviously biased race to the point of feeling embarrased watching it. The older model, most likely stock Porsche still holds it own against a car designed to run the quarter mile.General Motor's first profit since 2004 caps turnaround year

General Motors on Thursday reported its first annual profit since 2004, capping an impressive turnaround by the once-troubled automaker. The profit stemmed from a rebound in U.S. sales, strong growth China -- now GM's largest market -- and a much lower cost structure after a 2009 trip through bankruptcy.

The 2011 Audi A8 is out. It’s the large vehicle from Audi and it looks like they have managed to put together a hell of a ride combined with great technology. As a fan and owner of an Audi (more so in recent years) I read this review with great interest even though the A8 is not something I would purchase. Audi has made it clear they intend to grow the company and take some market share and it appears they are on the way. Here is a sample from the introduction of the review:
Quote from the article:
"Holy #&%*@^% $#^@!" I have to admit losing track of how many times my hapless copilot uttered this – and countless other unpublishable phrases – from the passenger seat during our drive. But if I'm being honest, it doesn't hold a candle to the endless string of explicatives running through my own mind. |

Ford to Recall F-150 Pickups Over Air Bags

Under government pressure, Ford Motor Co. said Wednesday it will recall nearly 150,000 F-150 pickup trucks to fix air bags that could deploy without warning. The recall covers trucks from the 2005-2006 model years in the United States and Canada for what the auto company calls a "relatively low risk" of the air bag deploying inadvertently.
The recall, however, is much smaller in scope than what the government had requested. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, citing 77 injuries, told the company in a November 2010 memo that the recall should cover 1.3 million F-150 trucks from the 2004-2006 model years.
