American Chopper returns April 25th

American Chopper is returning to the air on April 25th and Discovery wants to address the rumors that this is staged. How do they do that? By interviewing themselves of course! Considering how much of reality television is scripted, it’s no wonder that people, myself included, are wondering about the reality here. One can easily assume, for example that the time Senior just happened to drive by Junior’s shop was an event that was intentionally scripted. Bottom line is they want to tell people that the conflict itself is real. I think most of us believe that some of the conflicts we see are staged. You decide. We'd heard early on that this next run of shows might include a sponsored build-off -- a competition where Senior and Junior would literally create two rival bikes and the sponsor would pick a winner. That was a really cool idea to us ... it seemed like the sort of thing the fans have been waiting for. So we started to rally around the thought of the guys squaring off against each other and cooked up a bunch of ideas. There was just one catch, though ...
