GM's Cadillac has just confirmed that it will showcase a brand new concept car at the 2010 North American International Auto Show on January 12, namely the CTS-V Coupe that will go into production in the summer of 2010. Obviously, Cadillac wants to maintain the mystery over the new concept and no details are available at this point but it did mentioned that it features "the brand's Art & Science philosophy".

In other words, the new concept might borrow some design cues from other concept cars rolled out in the last few cars, including Cadillac Sixteen, CTS Coupe Concept and Converj.

The 2011 CTS Coupe was officially revealed last month and will go on sale in dealerships across the United States in spring 2010. It is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 unit that develops 304 horsepower and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This combination returns a fuel consumption rating of 27 mpg (8.7 l/100km) in highway conditions.

There are two feature packages available: a Performance Package with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires (available in both RWD and AWD) and the Summer Tire Performance Package, with 19-inch tires and wheels. StabiliTrak is available as standard across the entire range.

Feature highlights include hand-sewn accents covering the door, center storage console and instrument panel trim. 14-Way adjustable Recaro sport seats, available as an option, pop-up navigation system, integrated iPod/MP3 capability, Bluetooth capability, rear camera system, adaptive forward lighting system and 40 GB hard drive.

The full specification list for the CTS-V concept is expected to be released in January.
