BTCC News: Plato dominates Silverstone practice
Jason Plato set a blistering pace in British Touring Car Championship practice at Silverstone as the RML Chevrolet squad took the top two places on the timesheets.
Plato, the 2001 series champion, had been shaded by his team-mate Mat Jackson in the morning session, but jumped to the head of the leaderboard in the afternoon, improving his time by half a second and lapping in 1m00.625s in his Lacetti - 0.3s under the lap record.
Jackson backed him up in second, 0.129s slower, while championship leader Colin Turkington was next up in his WSR BMW.
