Italian tyre firm Pirelli appointed exclusive supplier to Forumula 1
Italian tyre firm Pirelli will be Formula 1's exclusive supplier from 2011 to 2013, its legislative body, the FIA World Council announced on Wednesday.
The company is believed to have beaten a more expensive offer from France's Michelin.
"The sole supplier will undertake to strictly respect the sporting and technical regulations implemented by the FIA," the body said in a statement.
