Accident flips taxi in Albany, then it gets strange
ALBANY -- A cab driver and at least one passenger were treated for injuries this morning after a collision left the taxi upside down on State Street -- and vulnerable to a thief who reached into the car and swiped money, police said.

The Yellow Cab was carrying two passengers, heading east on State Street, when it went through a red light about 7:30 a.m., said Detective James Miller, a police spokesman. He said a car, in turn, hit the taxi's rear, causing it to flip over. As the taxi lay in the street, an unidentified man reached into the cab and stole money from a cup, Miller said. |
