Bad Cop: Deputy charged with DUI after leaving traffic stop [Video]
Authorities say an off-duty deputy suspected of driving under the influence left the scene of a traffic stop only to be pulled over again 15 minutes later.

Timothy Neidert, 40, of Fort Myers, is charged with DUI. According to sheriff's reports, on Wednesday a deputy spotted Neidert driving his 2001 Toyota Tundra erratically on Griffin Drive in front of Gateway Elementary School in Fort Myers. Sergeant Brian Foell arrived to the scene of the traffic stop and contacted Neidert's sergeant who said he would come and pick up Neidert. According to reports, Foell and other Lee County deputies on scene left to respond to pending calls. Instead of waiting for his sergeant, Neidert drove away. |
