Bad Cop: Robs and sexually assaults women - needs to keep his gun in the holster!
A former Uplands Park Police Officer pleaded guilty to nine federal felonies Wednesday and admitted robbing and sexually assaulting escorts that he'd lured to the tiny St. Louis County community.
Leon F. Pullen, 32, of Foley, Mo., scoured online advertisements posted by the escorts, then pretended to be a customer, according to court documents and testimony. He also met one woman at a St. Louis hotel.

| Once with the escorts, Pullen would identify himself as an officer, then offer them a choice. He told one woman, identified in court documents as "D.S.," that she could give up all her money or take her clothes off. She chose the money, but Pullen robbed her and forced himself on her, Assistant U.S. Attorney Howard Marcus said in court. On three other occasions between February and June of 2009, Pullen used a threat of arrest or an implied threat of violence to sexually assault and rob women. Pullen was arrested by the FBI in September of 2009 as he was about to start his shift. Pullen had ads for 11 women printed out and investigators feared he would strike again, an FBI agent testified in court hearings last year. They did not find a list of victims that he reportedly kept, however. |
