Quote from the article:
| The Davis Enterprise reported that Murray was seen outside the bank trying to borrow a tire iron to smash the window. The newspaper reported that as police arrived she began trying to smash a window with her hand, using a jacket she'd been wearing for protection. Murray allegedly entered the Union Bank in downtown Davis shortly after 1 p.m. She was carrying a white bag, which she reportedly used to take cash from the bank. It was recovered by police. Murray reportedly presented a demand note to a teller, as she allegedly did in at least one of the Butte County robberies. Witnesses said Murray didn't mention a weapon, and didn't appear to have one. The car she drove to Wednesday's robbery is the same 2002 red Ford Taurus seen in connection with the Butte County robberies. |
