Ben Roethlisberger's touchy feely behavior is because of bike accident
In an ESPN story, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said about the upcoming statement, "I know he is going to make a comment regarding the discipline of the commissioner on Monday, and I'll let him do that," Tomlin said. "My understanding is at this point is he's ready to meet those challenges and take the necessary steps to move forward with his career."
Quote from the article:
| While we await Roethlisberger’s statement, other news came out today that suggested his recent barroom behavior may be the result of multiple concussions and head trauma from a past motorcycle accident. The Pittsburgh Tribune Review story says it consulted medical experts about Roethlisberger’s head trauma; however, they refused to make a diagnosis. The article does, however, quote forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht who said, "It's conceivable to think that there is a possibility that those concussions have led to some behavioral issues. The question I pose is simple: Can someone with several chronic or repetitive head injuries later display behavior that is socially undesirable? It's certainly possible, but we won't know that unless there is a proper evaluation, then work-up and treatment plan. It would be medically negligent not to include these sorts of tests as a part of this disciplinary process." |
