Bentley Mulsanne Revealed
The next Bentley model, hinted at in a cautious press release back in June, has been unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event in California under the familiar name of Mulsanne.
The Mulsanne was shown alongside an example of the 1930 Bentley 8-Litre, which was described as "the last big Bentley that was designed, engineered and built from the ground up by Bentley engineers - until now".
Sure enough, the Mulsanne is unrelated to any current model, being based on an entirely new platform, though the design (by a team led by Dirk van Braeckel) does have a "modern Bentley" feel to it, particularly at the rear.
