Quote from the article:
| A close look at the abandoned house near 28th Avenue and Ruggles street still shows a ladder leaning against the roof and brackets dangling in the wind. Pieces of gutter lie on the ground, twisted into barely recognizable shapes. "People were just tearing the gutters off in broad daylight. It's pretty cavalier," said neighbor Robert Boyer, who is fixing up another house nearby. Another resident called Omaha housing inspectors. "I called my inspector and told him the neighbor's concerns," said Omaha Chief Housing Inspector Kevin Denker. "He went there and called police." |
