Brockton cops got an App for that; Facial recognition [Video]

Brockton police get iPhone based system to identify suspects through facial recognition in the field. We can record them, so I guess fair is fair. However, I wonder what allows them to enter my personal information in their database with any prior record? In other words if I have never been scanned before and get pulled over, is my face now automatically stored in the database for no reason? Without a criminal record, I have a problem with that. Convicted felons, maybe.
