BTCC _ 200th for 'twinkle toes' Tom

Having survived falling down a rabbit hole at Snetterton, ‘twinkle toes’ Tom Chilton is now looking forward to his 200th race start in the British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill…

Chilton was scarpering to the nearest marshals’ post after his Team Aon Ford Focus had broken down at the side of the track in last Sunday’s third race.

But he explained to btcc.net: “It was rather embarrassing. My car had put oil down on the track and I was worried someone might spin on it so I ran as quickly as I could to safety.

“I’d almost made it to safety but my left foot went down a rabbit hole and I twisted my ankle. It was agony but when I got home I went to the local A&E, they did a scan and it’s fine. I was just being a bit of a nancy boy”
