Dustin Hoffman look alike accused of Nobel Prize theft

A Maine man charged with breaking into a Harvard professor’s home in Arlington last month has denied stealing the physicist’s Nobel Prize, police said.

Arlington Police have charged Stephen Beaulieu, 53, of Skowhegan, ME, with breaking and entering and two counts of larceny over $250.

Quote from the article:
But police continue to search for the missing prize, which was awarded to Roy Glauber in 2005 for his work in quantum optics.

Glauber discovered the prize and his Spanish Academy of Sciences Gold Medal missing from his home March 16 after returning from a trip.

Arlington Police Capt. Robert Bongiorno said police tied the break-in to Beaulieu by tracking a receipt found with half-eaten lobster and smoked oysters in Glauber’s home.

The food was found by a broken window at the front of the home, and police said it also appeared that Beaulieu had been laying on a bed and had been smoking in the home.
“He had his run of the house for a couple of days,” Bongiorno said.
