Edmunds selects the Chevrolet Camaro for their annual Launch Breakthrough Awards [Video]
There’s often a lot of buzz around the launch of a new car, but only a few live up to the hype. To acknowledge the best of the best, Edmunds.com has announced their annual Launch Breakthrough Awards. And this year’s winner is the Chevrolet Camaro.
To snag the top spot, the Camaro earned high marks in 18 categories associated with the successful launch of a new car, including pricing, sales, market share, dealer profit margins, incentives, consumer consideration and consumer ratings. The manufacturer credits performance, style, choice and price point as key factors in their success.

In addition, three other domestic brands rounded out the top five. Chevrolet’s Equinox came in third, followed by the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Cadillac SRX.
