Finale of FX’s ‘Sons of Anarchy’ scores top ratings, and Jersey’s Kurt Sutter gets third-season order.

New Jersey's Kurt Sutter had plenty of good news Wednesday, as his "Sons of Anarchy" finale got great ratings and FX renewed the drama for a third season.

FX President and General Manager John Landgraf said Wednesday that the network has ordered 13 episodes for the show's third season, which is scheduled to begin in September 2010.
Sutter also reached a deal on a two-year extension to continue his services as showrunner/writer on "Sons." All the series regulars are in place to return next season.
