The Dearborn-based automaker announced today that Bill Ford will be paid $4 million in salary and stock options of $11 million to $12 million. That is the amount he would have earned, had he been remunerated from 2008 until now -- but also reflects the 30 percent pay cut top executives agreed to for 2009 and 2010. The great-grandson of founder Henry Ford in May 2005 said he would forego any compensation until the company returned to sustainable profitability. The automaker had begun restructuring and jobs and costs were being cut at all levels. |
