It’s fantastic to be back in Montreal. Everyone in the team enjoys this race because it’s a great city and the track is close to all the hotels, so the commute to work is short.
The build-up to the race weekend has been quite intense because we only got the cars back from Turkey at the end of last week. They travelled by sea from Istanbul to Turin and then overland to Grove, which was a cheap but time-consuming route and it meant we had to turn the cars around over the weekend. They then flew out to Canada on Sunday and the majority of the boys joined them in Montreal at the start of this week.
It’s been a pretty intense few days since we got here because we’ve had new parts arriving almost every day and there’s been a lot of work to do. But if you don’t like hard work, F1’s not the place for you! Everyone in the team is really motivated to get a good result this weekend; let’s hope we do just that.
