GM's Small Trucks Could Follow Ranger and Dakota Exits




GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz spoke to journalists this morning in Los Angeles, where he highlighted GM's strong product portfolio, skipping any mention of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. We asked him what the future held for these small pickups. It doesn't sound promising. "It's uncertain at this point," Lutz said. "They may well [go away]." Having owned one with horrible build quality, I could live without it. Seems they might want to fill this gap in the market which frankly only leaves Toyota to choose from in the "smaller" pickup truck segment.
