Harley-Davidson Facility Evacuated over Electrical Short
Workers were evacuated at a Harley-Davidson plant at 11800 W. Capitol Drive in Wauwatosa Friday morning.
Just before 9 a.m. there was a report of an explosion. The Wauwatosa Fire Department describes the incident as a minor electrical problem with a transformer.
An ambulance has been dispatched to respond to employees reporting breathing problems, according to the fire department.
The evacuation was brief, and standard during a fire alarm. There are no injuries reported.
Harley-Davidson spokesman Bob Klein said there was a short in an electrical panel in the product development lab.
