Hells Angel member charged after repairman finds bag of cash stashed in furnace

Apparently it is illegal in Calgary to have cash lying around your house? A repairman found what is described as “tens of thousands of dollars” in a furnace. He then took the money and turned it in to Calgary police. Frankly, I want to know what gave the repairman the right to remove someone’s personal property. Perhaps he thought it would go unclaimed? He certainly was not aware that he removed this money from the home of a Hells Angels Nomad. Leonard Desjarlais, 36, faces charges of possession of proceeds obtained by crime, uttering forged documents and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon. Hopefully he has a good lawyer, after all the circumstances as to how police ended up searching this man’s home started with what amounts to money stolen from the home. I guess things are different in Canada? Hit the Source Link to read the rest of the story and decide for yourself.
