Honda and Mugen developing CR-Z Type-R hybrid
Honda and their turning partner Mugan are hitting the headlines this week, first with the Honda Civic Type-R Mugan 200 and now with a hybrid concept the CR-Z Type-R and looking at the images of the design, from the front it looks superb, from the back its still sporting the old CR-Z backend, not so good in my honest opinion.

Quote from the article:
| In stock form, the production CR-Z unveiled in Detroit recently packs just 102 hp from its 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit, the electric motor chips in with an additional 20hp. Apparently, Honda and its internal tuning brother, Mugen, plan to boost the output of the stock four-cylinder engine to approximately 150 hp. Since the CR-Z is all about being a hybrid, Honda can't just be happy with a hotted up petrol engine, so a more powerful electric motor will also be fitted, reportedly good for another 50 hp, bringing total output up to 200 hp. |
