Honda Tops the List for Most Affordable Cars to Own
According to Edmunds.com, the TCO list incorporates the cost of ownership over five years and includes depreciation financing, taxes, fees, insurance premiums fuel costs, regional variances, maintenance and repairs for each model.
The winners include the 2010 Honda Accord, Honda’s most popular selling vehicle in the Coupe $25-35k category. The 2010 Honda Fit stole the winning place for Sedan in the $15-25k range. The 2010 Fit also ranks 2 out of 30 for Affordable Small Cars in the US News and World Report Rankings and Reviews. For SUVs under 25k, the 2010 Honda CRV pulled top honors. The Acura MDX was most affordable for SUVS over $45,000. The Large Truck category was dominated by the 2010 Honda Ridgeline, while the 2010 Honda Insight led the way for Hybrids.
