Spanish manufacturer Izaro Motors had just revealed the first details and images of a new electric supercar, that is likely to compete against the Tesla Roadster, dubbed Izaro GT-E.

The Izaro GT-E will come available in two power unit variants: a hybrid version, which will provide a total power of 416 horsepower and a range of up to 429 miles, and a full electric one that will develop no less than 495 horsepower, but at a much lower range, of only 155 miles. The vehicle’s weight will be relatively low (1,000 kg), due to intensive use of aluminum and magnesium in chassis construction, as well as other lightweight materials for body panels. The manufacturer promises a maximum speed of 174 mph/ 280 km/h (compared with only 124 mph / 200 km/h for Tesla Roadster) and a 0-60 mph (0 - 100 km/h) sprint in just 4 seconds.
