Kyle Busch plans to start own Truck Series team in 2010
Kyle Busch plans to announce on Friday plans to start a Truck Series team in 2010, a source close to the situation said.
Busch will hold a 2 p.m. news conference Friday.
A source said the news conference was to announce the formation of a multi-truck team. Whether Busch will drive for his team, continue to drive for Billy Ballew Motorsports on a limited basis or drive for both was not clear.
According to Iredell, N.C., County records, Busch is building a $2.4 million, 60,000-square-foot race shop.
Busch has won 16 Truck races since entering the series on a part-time basis in 2001. The 2009 Nationwide Series champion won seven of 15 Truck events entered this past season for Ballew Motorsports.
