| The first officer on the scene pulled up to check the doors on the south side of the building and found everything to be secure. While checking the building, the officer heard his car door open and shut and turned around to see his car speeding off. The officer called in the stolen car and began to run after his patrol car, James said. Another officer responding to the scene was able to intercept the stolen cruiser, which was still near the high school. With his gun drawn, the second officer got out and ordered the driver to exit the police car, but the driver backed up and continued to lead the second officer on a chase through the neighborhood south of the high school. |
