Mansell crashes at Le Mans
LE MANS, France (AP) — Former Formula One world champion Nigel Mansell has crashed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Mansell spun around in his Ginetta-Zytek and hit the security barrier before the Indianapolis turn, just 18 minutes after the race started Saturday. The 56-year-old British driver was racing for the first time at Le Mans, with his sons Greg and Leo. He appeared conscious as he was evacuated in an ambulance.
