After quite a few problems with the MTX program used to install the free version of Mechwarrior 4, Mektek has announced there will be a stand alone installer to be released within a few days, via bit torrent.

The installer will be for the newest version of MW4, and addresses some bugs along with a small patch to update the previous version for people who managed to make it thru the MTX installation.
