Mother of the year fail; Arrested high on Xanax with 9 kids in car; arrested for home invasion later
From what officers describe, she's a poster mom for what every parent shouldn't do. The 27-year-old says it's police who have it all wrong.
Latoya Johnson was arrested on nine counts of child endangerment and a charge of driving under the influence back on Thursday. Her arrest, near Oakey and Rancho, followed a handful of 911 calls, describing high speeds, weaving around the road, narrowly missing people in crosswalks and even a hit and run.
The mother of nine is assuming the role of a victim in this dangerous driving episode. Johnson is blaming a "medical episode" and is disputing accusations that she was high on prescription medications.
"My story is the truth. I'm not gunna lie about nothing. All of these accusations are lies. They're all lies," said Latoya Johnson, who wants her name cleared.
Less than 24 hours after getting out of jail, Johnson is again behind bars for new charges. The 27-year-old mother was arrested on an unrelated home invasion charge after her one-on-one interview with Action News. Family and friends allege she "kicked in her sister's door Tuesday night and things quickly got out of hand from there".
