New Roc City Angel gets his wings, member's gather from near and far for funeral
There were some tears Friday, however, as members of the notorious motorcycle gang from as far away as Germany congregated in White Plains to say goodbye to one of their own, William "Billy" Covert.
The 38-year-old Consolidated Edison supervisor, a former North White Plains resident and volunteer firefighter who lived with his wife of seven months in Mahopac Falls, joined the Hells Angels chapter in New Rochelle within the past year.
Quote from the article:
| He was buried Friday following his death last week at a motorcycle rally in Sturgis, S.D. He died from natural causes, leaving three children. Bikers rode in from across the country for the wake and service at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home. Inside, his open casket was lined with a red Hells Angels flag. Pictures showed him as a happy family man, the "World's Greatest Dad," a beloved son and brother. At Thursday night's wake, FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration agents, perched on rooftops, photographed members of the Hells Angels as they circulated outside. |
