N.J. finds 20 Camden cop cars lack valid inspections
CAMDEN -- Twenty city police vehicles are in violation of state inspection laws.

The state Labor and Workforce Development Department said that if the cars aren't fixed by Jan. 28, the city will receive fines of $350 per day per car. The cars, mostly Ford Crown Victoria cruisers, had expired inspection stickers, stickers showing failed tests, or no stickers at all.
City Business Administration Christine Tucker said the vehicles were found by a state inspector in a police lot and were part of the "reserve fleet" and were not assigned to operational police units.
Tucker said all police vehicles will be inspected, and those that fail will be scrapped.
