Two men hoping to spearhead a five-day motorcycle convention in North Myrtle Beach say they're going to take the next steps necessary in making their idea a reality on Feb. 1.

Both have turned in the paperwork for a special events permit in North Myrtle Beach. It has been revealed the convention would center itself around an area near the Ocean Drive pavilion and allow for the accommodation of multiple vendors, as well as smooth traffic flow. Harley-Davidson says North Myrtle Beach is the top choice for the five-day event held annually during the week before Memorial Day. It would be the only biker event held in North Myrtle Beach for the year.
