A sheriff's office deputy was at a home in the 100 block of Chestnut Boulevard in Scio Township at 5 p.m., responding to a fight involving the living arrangements of two family members, according to a statement released by the department. The deputy put two people in the back seat of his patrol car to take them to the Delonis Homeless Shelter in Ann Arbor City. But at 5:45 p.m., the deputy radioed to dispatchers that his patrol vehicle had been stolen. Investigators found the patrol car a short time later, arrested the pair and took them to the Washtenaw County Jail.
