PennDOT News Readily Available Through Online Twitter Feed

Anyone who has driven through Pennsylvania knows, it’s know a matter of IF construction is going hit, it’s a matter of how many times you will be delayed. Oddly enough, PennDOT will not report traffic or road conditions on its Twitter page.
Pennsylvanians now have increased access to transportation news, tips and highlights through PennDOT's new online Twitter feed -- PennDOTNews.

"The way that people look for their news and communicate with each other is always evolving, and we want to make sure that our customers have many ways to access important transportation information," said PennDOT Secretary Allen D. Biehler, P.E. "Using Twitter allows us to quickly and easily share information with a large audience."

Visit 301 Moved Permanently to see PennDOT's "tweets." People with Twitter accounts can also opt to automatically follow the updates.

PennDOT will not report traffic or road conditions on its Twitter page. Travelers should continue to visit http://www.511PA.com or call 511 for current traffic conditions.
