Port St. Lucie Police officer shocked a 49-year-old Jensen Beach man with a stun gun after he threatened to kill two people. Joseph Cosmo Rummo, of the 600 block of Northeast Terrace, is charged with assault, tampering with a victim, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting officer without violence, carrying a concealed weapon, unlawful alteration of a vehicle tag and driving with license suspended with knowledge.

Rummo was driving in the store’s parking lot when he stopped and told a man and woman he would kill them.

When the officer told Rummo what the couple said, that’s when Rummo yanked his hand from the officer, jumped up and knocked the officer off balance. The officer removed his Taser stun gun, shocking the man once.
