Ready For Summer? 5 Tips on How to Get Road Ready for Summer Driving Season
April is National Car Care Month, and with Summer right around the corner it's a good time to step into the garage and get ready ready for driving season. Whether you spend your summer on an extended road trip, towing your RV, racing down the quarter mile or commuting in traffic through sweltering heat, increase the performance and efficiency of your vehicle with freshly serviced cooling system, synthetic oils and fuel system cleaner.
With that in mind, the engineers at Red Line have prepared a Spring Maintenance Checklist:
1. Check the cooling system. Many modern cars often have long-life coolant engineered to last up to 100,000 miles; older cars and RVs need to have the coolant changed more frequently. Make sure the radiator is full (check while engine is cold), and the overflow tank should be filled to its indicator line. All hoses should be firm and dry. If the level is low, try using distilled water to prevent scale and mineral buildup.
