Red Bull's Webber asked team mate Vettel to back off
Red Bull's Mark Webber requested that team-mate Sebastian Vettel back off the lap before their collision in the Turkish Grand Prix, team boss Christian Horner has revealed. The pair collided on lap 40 of Sunday's race after Vettel tried to pass Webber into turn 12 of the Istanbul Park circuit - the German retiring on the spot while Australian Webber managed to continue and finish third behind McLaren pair Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
