ROLLS-ROYCE APPOINTS NEW PRODUCT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has today announced that Nigel Wonnacott (41) has joined the company as Product Communications Manager. Nigel will be responsible for coordinating the company’s global product communications, reporting directly to Richard Carter, Director of Global Communications.

Nigel is an experienced PR professional with a track record for automotive communications. He previously spent three years as spokesman and Head of Communications for the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), worked with the BMW (UK) PR team and helped launch electric city cars for the Nice Car Company in London. In the last two years he has worked freelance on promotions for internet start-up operations, written for several leading magazines and delivered custom-built training courses to automotive clients.

“Nigel joins Rolls-Royce at an exciting time for the company, with the recent launch of our new model, Ghost and exceptional sales results in the year to date”, said Richard Carter. “His expertise will be invaluable; he is the perfect fit for Rolls-Royce and I am delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Nigel replaces Jon Stanley, who left the company earlier this year to join a start-up PR agency
