Chrysler executives have promised major modifications to its minivans by year's end. The Detroit News has evidence of that with this first peek at the face-lifted 2011 Chrysler Town & Country, an ugly square minivan that needs an update.

The rear will get modest updates, with new taillights (possibly LED) and some minor restyling on the rear bumper and tailgate. The larger changes are inside, with more comfortable seats, vastly improved materials and an integrated center console like in the discontinued Chrysler Pacifica.
