Bad Cop: State police charge Onondaga County sheriff's deputy with DWI





State police were called to the intersection of state Route 31 and Lakeport Road in Sullivan shortly after 11 p.m. to a report of “an unresponsive male” in a vehicle.
Police found Michael E. Poindexter, 25, of Constantia, in a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup. According to police records, Poindexter had an alcohol level of .20. In New York State, a driver is guilty of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of .08 or above.
