RICHMOND, Ind. - A man remains jailed Tuesday after trying to steal a backhoe from a fenced compound just north of Richmond. Robert E. Hull, 40, was arrested Sunday by Wayne County Sheriff's deputies and Richmond police as he tried to make his getaway by driving the backhoe north on U.S. 27 North.
