The Gemballa Mistrale Concept, Porsche redefined | James Spotting
Our friends over at Gemballa recently announced their upcoming Mistrale, their unique
take on the Porsche Panamera. Not bad, considering the base model was unveiled back
in April of this year. The car has hints of the 911 in the design, like the extended front
and rear fenders, but the Baden-Württemberg company goes a lot further than just adding
to the exterior esthetics of the vehicle.
Larger air inlets guarantee the optimal supply with fresh air, aerodynamics are improved with
an integrated carbon lip and a tasteful bonnet with slotted ventilation ducts. The gravity
center is lowered with a brand new programmed air suspension module with extended setting
range, and a new top performance brake system is added (amongst other things). All in all, an
interesting affair without going overboard. Porsche tuners have a tendency to either go a bit
too wild with their decaling, or outright ruining a beautiful design. Gemballa manages to keep
the balance in preserving the winning concept of the original whilst adding their own special
- but tasteful - touch.
