The three New York City police officers who were accused of sodomizing Michael Mineo in a subway station have been acquitted Monday of all charges.

Testimony concluded last Tuesday, in which Officer Richard Kern pleaded not guilty to aggravated sexual abuse and assault. The alleged victim, Michael Mineo, claims he was abused as he lay on the ground of a Prospect Park subway station during the night of Oct. 15, 2008. During closing arguments during the week-long trial, defense attorney John Patten reportedly portrayed Kern as a levelheaded cop, who did right by giving Mineo a summons for disorderly conduct and releasing him.
