Taxpayers will subsidise the purchase of luxury sports cars under a £230 million scheme intended to help the environment. The Tesla Roadster, which runs on electric power but does 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, will qualify for a £5,000 grant under the Government’s electric-car scheme, which starts in January 2011.

Now where can I get £82k from!
