'Wild Hogs' killed by 'Old Dogs'
It appears as though Woody, Doug, Bobby and Dudley have taken their last motorcycle ride together.
According to Variety, Walt Disney Pictures' new studio chief Rich Ross has officially scrapped plans for a sequel to 2007's comedy hit “Wild Hogs.” The box office failure of director Walt Becker's critically trounced “Old Dogs” is reportedly to blame.
“Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride,” which was rumored to begin shooting next May for a 2011 release, would have sent the biker-pals-in-midlife-crisis to Europe on a mission to rescue William H. Macy's character's fiancé from the Del Fuegos motorcycle gang.
Brad Copeland had already completed the script while Becker and key cast members John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and, of course, Macy were in discussions to return.
