If you're looking for a keenly priced middleweight motorcycle for general purposes, the choice is almost overwhelming. There are two, three- and four-cylinder bikes, with or without fairings, from most of the Japanese and European manufacturers, with some such as Suzuki offering a bewildering selection. In comparison, Yamaha has been relatively quiet, aiming only for the high end of the sector with the FZ6 and its faired FZ6 Fazer sibling.
