Harley to discontinue six models for 2014
Posted by: Timothy Tibbetts on: 04/30/2013 11:18 AM in Motorcycles
The curtain will fall on the XR1200X Sportster, the FXS Softail Blackline and the FLHTC Electra Glide Classic after this year, due to declining sales. The FLHRC Road King Classic will be dropped in North America, while the FLHR Road King gets the axe in other markets.
The FLTRX Road Glide Custom and FLTRU Road Glide Ultra tourers will also not be available for 2014, though this will be a temporary affair, as both models are getting a redesign and their manufacturing processes and tooling are due for an update.

This biker just happened to be riding with his helmet cam when a senior citizen tripped and fell. While one woman proceeded to literally run away rather than help this biker pulled off the street to help him up and even found a beautiful woman to make sure he could walk away. As a biker let me tell you that you would be hard pressed to find a nicer bunch, like this guy.

Random Photo: See 2 men can ride a bike together
Posted by: Jon Maor on: 04/07/2013 08:09 PM in Motorcycles, Random photo
This is funny to me because I ride, and I have uttered the following statement with conviction: "I will never be the passenger on a bike with another man unless I am bleeding, or my bike is out of gas and I am carrying a gas can."

'Lowside' Ninja crash caught on helmet cam
Posted by: Jon Maor on: 02/22/2013 02:18 PM in Motorcycles, Video
Riding outside your limits can be deadly; this is especially true when traveling through a twisty canyon. If you are going faster than you should because maybe you failed to downshift, the bike will immediately let you know your mistake.
This rider is very lucky as you see that he cannot control the bike as he enters that corner, the bike seems to b-line for the shoulder, and he lays it down on the 'lowside' so as not to fly totally off the road and into a ditch. The only thing that saved from hitting a telephone pole head first was that the guardrail.

Unyielded right of way hurts (Video)

Tron was able to make 90 degree turns in the virtual world, this does not translate into real time, least of all when you are riding a scooter, and that 90 degree turn is into the path of a car.
As the car driver, you should be expecting what transpires next, right? You might slow down, at least a little in anticipation of the old man darting out in front of you; nope let's keep going fast enough to knock the poor gentleman out of his shoes. Then flight or fight kicks in for the now shoeless man, who tries to scamper off but crumbles in a shoeless heap in front of you.
If it was me driving I would be up and out of the car trying to help the poor guy, even if I was just on looker, nope not here, apparently in this small town in China that is not the way. In the future this gentleman will use something closer to a 45 degree merge don't you think?
